Oakland - Community Adventure Pre-K Playgroups
The Oakland Parks, Recreation, and Youth Development Department is offering a free, year-long playgroup. Community Adventure Pre-K Playgroups is a free program for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-5, featuring arts and crafts, outdoor play, snacks, quarterly field trips, and other activities. Free groceries are available every Tuesday and Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Mission San Jose. This walk-in food distribution offers bags of fresh produce and pantry items to those in need. Oakland – Afro-Play Oakland Family Playgroup (East Oakland)
Oakland families are invited to this Afrocentric playgroup. Afro-Play Oakland is an affinity-affirming space for families who identify as Black, African-American, or of the African Diaspora. Children and caregivers can enjoy Afro-centric activities in a warm and supportive environment, and donations are on a sliding scale, but no one is turned away for lack of funds.
