Program Description: The Parenting Stress Helpline at (800) 829-3777 supports families and caregivers of children ages 0–21 and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The helpline is staffed by professional and volunteer counselors who help parents and caregivers with a wide range of parenting concerns. Counselors are available to talk with parents about stress related to parenting infants, children, and teenagers, as well as other family concerns. They also assist families in finding community resources and enrolling in services offered through Family Paths. Family Paths offers therapy for children and caregivers, parent education classes, classes for fathers and teen parents, a group for Spanish-speaking fathers, and a group for mothers who have experienced trauma. Helpline counselors provide referrals to these services.
